Charlie Taylor refused to play for Leeds vs Wigan, says Garry Monk

He said: "The scenes at the end of the game, along with so many others at Elland Road and away from home this season, show the potential this club has".

Garry Monk has confirmed that Leeds will take a "strong stance" as he faces punishment from the club.

Since their relegation from the Premier League in 2013, Wigan have slipped all the way down to League one, and with their hopes having been revived past year with their promotion back to the campaign, Wigan fans will once again be feeling down with their team having been relegated back to the 3rd tier of English football once more.

Monk said: "I had an initial talk with him at the training ground (on Saturday); just a general chat about this season, the general idea of the takeover and the timeframe for that".

"Had he had some better advice from the outside, I think we would have seen a better Charlie Taylor this season and left on better terms, if that's what's going to happen".

"He's not very experienced in these situations, and you need proper guidance, and people around you who can help you do things right".

The toddler's mother, however, Chiranut Trairat, told the Associated Press , "I am not angry at Facebook or blaming them on this". Jirasak Siemsak said the bodies of Wongtalay and his daughter were found in a hotel after the videos were reported .

"He'll learn from this but, as a manager and a club, you can not have a player refusing to play".

A 1-1 draw against relegated Wigan Athletic on the final day this afternoon means that Leeds finished five points adrift of the top six having vowed before the campaign to refund 25% of season ticket prices if they failed to make the playoffs.

"We spoke to the players in pre-season, and we set some ambitious targets", he added. "Tere is a fantastic relationship with the fans and the team and that is how all clubs should be".

"I'm impressed with what Garry's done there, so fair play to him, but it was one of those games that we could have won".

"I've worked here now for a full season and I have a really good understanding of the club now and what it can be like".
