Wizards Find Defense in Game Five Win over Hawks

Norman Powell, starting for the second time in the best-of-seven series, scored 25 points for the Raptors, who will try to clinch the series in Milwaukee tomorrow. Morris has averaged 10.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.8 blocks in 26.4 minutes per game in the series. They had an enemy in the clock, ticking down inside the final minute. When healthy, Mahinmi's size and rebounding ability would have made a difference in this series, especially since Atlanta's only true center is Dwight Howard. Obviously, the Hawks must contain these two as the series is now a best-of-three situation.

The belief here is that the Hawks are good enough to win Game 5 in D.C. and close out the Wiz in Game 6 here Friday.

"They let us run the clock down", Wall said. He finished with 10 points, five assists, and a +29 on the game.

SALT LAKE CITY - Joe Johnson scored 28 points, and the Jazz beat the Clippers to even their first-round playoff series at 2-all.

"It was right there", Schroder said. A couple of mistakes cost us. Afterward, the Hawks did not take issue with the approach. "We definitely wanted to get it out of his hands early and go from there". "That's exactly what we did".

As the first quarter progressed, the Hawks simply drove to the basket more - there's a reason they've been drawing lots of fouls - while the Wizards looked to be cutting meat with a tiresome knife.

Sinclair Broadcast to buy Tribune Media
Tribune Media shares were up $2.61 to $42.90 in morning trading, while Sinclair shares gained $1.28 to $38.23. The Hunt Valley, Maryland-based company values the total transaction at $6.6 billion, when debt is included.

"For all the kids out there, man, you've got to practice that in the backyard", Millsap said. "We'll go back to Atlanta for Game 6 and it's got to be us who is the aggressor and us who makes the plays". "Those are always the tough decisions that you gotta make". We had a chance to win. A casual attempt by Wall to dish the ball to Marcin Gortat got easily deflected - Gortat was 0-for-1 at halftime and shot just 1-for-4 from the game.

"One thing I do know about Jose. he's a victor", Washington coach Scott Brooks said of the former New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors guard. The win was a big one considering the momentum that it gave the Hawks heading back to a city that wasn't so kind to them the first time around. Instead, they dallied. Hardaway passed to Millsap, who attempted a drive, was stifled and dished to a teammate. Again, Wall has slightly upped his game here, and he and Schröder are almost dueling to a draw ... but it's more about what Millsap and Hardaway, Jr. have done compared to their counterparts. It missed, but even had it gone in, the clock might have expired before it left the net, anyway. We used to shoot fall-away shots like that all the time. It's also been one of the funnest I've been a part of. "But it's hard to read that". "It just didn't work out that way". It will probably hurt the Hawks' half-court defense, but if the alternative is letting Wall push the ball and punish them in the open floor, then that's a risk they have to take. He could have driven, he could have shot a three.

Sound like anyone you know?

"It was a good shot", Beal said. Their transition defense has failed them all series. The Hawks are the lower seed and won six fewer games than the Wiz, but they're bigger and deeper and just as fast. Look for this series to go seven games. He also grabbed 5 boards and nabbed two steals in the Wizards loss.

In the next round the Warriors will face either the Los Angeles Clippers or Utah Jazz, whose series was knotted at two games apiece. When asked how they had lost, Millsap paused and sighed. "I was laughing because it's not true", he said.
