1 arrested after brawl aboard Southwest jet during deplaning

As the plane taxied to the gate to allow passengers off who weren't continuing to Oakland, the Burbank Police Department said a fight broke out between two male passengers. The wrestling turns to punching as the two roll over onto another seat and fall on top of a flight attendant who was trying to intervene.

The punches continued until other passengers were able to stop the fight.

The fight involved three passengers aboard the Boeing 737 Flight 2530 during deplaning at Burbank Bob Hope Airport in the San Fernando Valley suburb of Los Angeles on Sunday, according to a statement made by Southwest.

"Everyone was de-planing then all heck broke loose", Krause said. A woman in the background is heard yelling "What is wrong with you?"

A video has surfaced of a fight between two men aboard a Southwest Airlines flight landing in Burbank, Calif. "One customer had minor injuries, but was able to travel onward".

The other passenger, whose name was not released, suffered a contusion and swelling of left eye, a small cut on left side of his nose, and a chipped tooth. One person was injured but refused treatment, police said. Chaz Cable, a 37-year-old Lancaster, California, man, was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Krause believes the flight attendant deserves praise.

A representative for Southwest Airlines said in a statement, "our employees are our everyday heroes and are trained to de-escalate conflict while delivering heartfelt hospitality on almost 4000 flights to almost the half-million customers who fly Southwest every day".
