Edmonton Oilers vs. Anaheim Ducks - 4/30/17 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Having lost the first two games at home the Anaheim Ducks must be feeling deja vu, previous year they found themselves in a similar situation in their 1st round series against the Nashville Predators. It's nearly like that (7-0 loss in the) San Jose game. McDavid has responded well, considering this is his first ever taste of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

"Obviously, with our defense, we have a lot of defensemen that can move their feet, find open lanes and shift and skate and turn and be deceptive in terms of protecting the puck", said Subban.

Russell's shot from the point deflected off Ryan-Nugent Hopkins and Maroon and by Gibson with 40 seconds remaining.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Oilers are favored at home in today's game, as they are getting odds of -130 to win.

Despite his team's apparent lack of big-game bona fides, the kid captain says his team is uniquely built for this moment. "Certainly not how we scripted it, but there's still plenty of life left in this group, and we're going to make sure that we fight and claw to try and win one in their building". People are hard on us. "I think we need to be simple", he explained. "There's ups and downs and there's different things". They combined for six assists, including two each by Josh Manson and Shea Theodore, who maneuvered into the zone to help set up Silfverberg's second goal. The Flames were the second-most penalized team during the regular season and continued to be penalized often during the series.

"We didn't panic or anything".

Draisaitl first got his name on the scoresheet when the Oilers scored their first goal, and then the next two goals that followed Leon earned another two assists leaving his point total at three, so far. "We have some experienced guys, we have some unexperienced guys". Several Ducks said they played well enough to win only for a bad bounce to go against them.

This might be the franchise's first playoff appearance in 11 years, but Edmonton has faced adversity already this spring.

Should the Ducks hold on to this lead, they'll cut Edmonton's series lead to 2-1. It gave the Oilers a 2-0 lead. That's when McDavid learned a lesson that should serve him well the rest of his career. Anytime (the review) goes longer and longer, you get more and more nervous.

They are living proof that when more options are provided to students, they are afforded greater access and greater quality. As a result, students did not have time to properly share their displeasure with the school before the day of graduation.

"We came out and executed properly, got rewarded", he said.

The Oilers certainly didn't let the momentum limit them, winning Games 5 and 6 against San Jose to advance. So too is cutting back on power-play opportunities for the Oilers, which give Draisaitl and McDavid even more chances to be out on the ice. Rinne blanked the Blues after Alexander Steen scored with about seven minutes left in the second period.

"It's called the playoffs and the other team gets in the way sometimes", said the Oilers head coach.

The Ducks again played without two top defensemen. "Fact of the matter is, for a large part of the game, we weren't even competitive", he told reporters. We just have to bring it in Game 4. "That they're prepared to sacrifice in those situations to prevent goals".

After four days in Anaheim, the Oilers are heading home, unexpectedly with a 2-0 lead.

"The fans here have been great", McDavid said.

Because back-to-back losses in the playoffs equals one foot in the grave.

If the Ducks want to continue playing physical, they can, but they have to start being smart about it. Anaheim's PK was dead last among all teams in round one. I keep saying that.
