Notre Dame, ACC announce games through 2037

Notre Dame has a scheduling agreement with the ACC, where it's a non-football member in some sports while keeping its gridiron independence.

Notre Dame and the ACC announced some future games today - some FAR future games.

The Tar Heels and last played Notre Dame back in 2014 when they lost 50-43 in a fantastic game down in South Bend. Some won't be born for another two years or so.

In addition to the game between the Hokies and Irish on Labor Day night in 2036, there are now games scheduled for 2027 and 2033 in South Bend, as well as in 2028 in Blacksburg. One of those Clemson games, at Death Valley in 2031, will serve as the season-opener.

Also, CFO Kenneth Desgarennes sold 4,681 shares of Zayo Group Holdings stock in a transaction dated Monday, April 3rd. Following the sale, the director now directly owns 141,883 shares in the company, valued at approximately $4,965,905.

The Blue Devils' previously scheduled games in the series are in 2019 and 2023 at home, and 2020 on the road.

Pitcher Jessica Dreswick was visibly exhausted by the eighth inning, and allowed 4 runs to give Notre Dame a 9-5 lead. Clemson's win in 2015 was a battle of Top 12 teams in a driving rain and it was gained the year before the Tigers won the 2016 National title. But Notre Dame's futuristic scheduling is even more extreme than the college norm.

"The ACC's football partnership with Notre Dame has been extremely successful throughout our first four seasons", said ACC Commissioner John Swofford in a release. The others to do it are Florida State, Michigan, Nebraska and Ohio State.
