Some 'Stranger Things' Season 2 Ideas Are Being Saved For Season 3

Last seen spewing monster-slugs into the nearest sink, Will Byers is all set to become the focal point of Stranger Things season 2 following his harrowing stint in the fantastical alternate reality known as the Upside Down.

While Netflix hasn't officially announced a third season for Stranger Things, producer and director Shawn Levy told Mashable that only three-fourths of the Duffer brothers' ideas for the upcoming second season actually made it into the final cut.

"As the episodes were written by the Duffers, they realized that there was too much story for nine episodes. Even if we weren't going to call on his full reservoir of abilities in Season One", Levy said in an interview with Mashable.

The show's executive producer Shawn Levy revealed to Mashable that Season 2 will focus prominently on Will Byers, a character who was absent throughout almost the entirety of Season 1.

Stories can hook you but characters are the real reason we invest so much time watching great TV and movies (unless you are my father, who correlates film quality with the size and amount of explosions featured within).

As much as we loved all the creepiness of the Upside-Down, future seasons are keeping the characters front and centre.

The senators said later that the Russian Federation investigations were discussed but Comey's firing was not. McCabe's hearing came after Comey was unexpectedly fired by US President Donald Trump on Tuesday evening.

If you're a Stranger Things fan (it me, and I'm not sorry), all of the above probably sounds pretty good to you!

"Noah steps up in the most staggering way", said Levy.

Season two will focus on Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), who went missing in the first season when he was trapped in the risky other world of the Upside Down, and communicated with his mother (Winona Ryder) in the most iconic fashion, via Christmas lights.

The success of Stranger Things has opened up plenty of opportunities for the actors involved. It's that a series about all of those things has been embraced and celebrated.

"If you didn't root for these kids the way all of us do, we wouldn't be where we're at - either commercially or critically", Levy said.

The first season of Netflix's Stranger Things was one of the biggest surprises of the year, and if you were anxious about Season 2, we have some good news. Millie Bobby Brown's had a pretty incredible year.
