Ranieri proud to pass Premier League title to Chelsea's Conte

Chelsea clinched the Premier League crown thanks to a 1-0 over West Bromwich Albion on Friday, erasing memories of last season's disappointing 10th place finish.

Chelsea can complete the domestic double if they beat Arsenal in the FA Cup final at the end of May.

A brilliant statement from Conte - and one that should make Chelsea fans even more delighted after last night's win.

"I am proud to pass the torch of the Premier League to Antonio Conte: from one Italian to another, a great recognition of our school of management", Ranieri told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"They said we didn't want to play anymore, they said we were lazy, that kind of stuff, and it's not true". "Against Arsenal the game was frustrating for me because I didn't see anything of my work, of my idea of football", said the 47-year-old, who described his suit as a "disaster" after he was soaked by his players.

Conte apologised after arriving late to his post-match news conference, explaining his players had showered him with beer and champagne and that "my suit is a disaster".

It has been a great first year for manager Antonio Conte, whose 4-3-3 formation was pivotal in bringing the title back to Stamford Bridge.

On the contrary, he has reportedly already started discussing potential off-season transfer targets with his Blues staff, while his family will be moving to London later this month.

In Russia, where a wide array of systems came under attack, officials said services had been restored or the virus contained. Symantec researcher Vikram Thakur said that total fix costs are likely to be in the tens of millions of dollars.

No longer bombarded by text messages, a favourite motivational method of Mourinho's, Chelsea's stars lapped up Conte's more considered approach.

The former Juventus manager is also keen on bringing in an additional wide player and has been linked with Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez, as well as Eden Hazard's worldwide teammate Dries Mertens, who has enjoyed a prolific season with Napoli. With England conquered under his leadership, thoughts will quickly turn to hopes that the Italian can restore the Blues' challenge for top European honours.

"We've all heard the stories about Inter Milan wanting Conte and I am sure the club will want to put that to bed as soon as possible", said Lampard.

"It's time to glorify what Chelsea have achieved. But we must continue to improve". I think a lot of players are hungry for winning that as well'.

The making of the Premier League champions can be traced back to several key moments of the campaign. Chelsea won the match 0-1 meaning they win the Premier League title.

Chelsea defender David Luiz added: "I am happy".
