West Brom v Chelsea preview

West Brom boss Tony Pulis is determined to prolong Chelsea's wait to be crowned Premier League champions when the sides meet at The Hawthorns on Friday. We must continue to think in this way and to try to take three points. "After the Tottenham result (against West Ham), naturally spirits were high in training and everybody was buzzing".

Indeed, Fabregas has only started 11 Premier League games for the Blues this term but has been in fine form whenever called upon by his manager. "The new manager came in at the beginning of the season, we won some games but then we lost, and there was again a lot of criticism", he said.

Conte arrived after Chelsea had seen a title defence evaporate under Jose Mourinho, who was sacked before the Blues recovered to finish 10th.

Conte is already looking forward to the celebrations when Chelsea seal the title, but he has warned his squad not to get carried away just yet.

"It was probably more comfortable last time but the run-in is always the same, there is always a stage in the season when it's going to be tight, when teams are putting pressure on and you're having to win", he said.

After Premier League title, Chelsea's Conte sets sights on FA Cup
They showed me in every moment great attitude, great work rate and to trust in my work. We have to improve in the next season - we need to find solutions.

This poor run consists of six defeats where they've failed to score in each, but the sole victory did come at home against Arsenal.

West Brom are missing Matt Phillips and Hal Kanu-Robson for Friday's match.

Pulis also provided an update on West Brom's pursuit of Leeds United's 23-year-old full-back Charlie Taylor. N'Golo is having a great season for us, I am pleased for him and to receive the best player award is great because in this league we have a lot of fantastic players. "We owe it to our supporters and we have our own targets to hit". At least five Premier League appearances are required, and both have only made one in a Chelsea shirt this season.

Should Chelsea win the title, Antonio Conte will have won the league title in four successive seasons as a club coach after winning the Serie A title with Juventus in 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Even if second-placed Spurs win their remaining games, Chelsea will only need one victory to secure the Premier League trophy and they will obviously attempt to get the job done at the Hawthorns even though they will have another two easy home games after said match.
