Spurs will spend next season at Wembley before opening a brand new £800million stadium at White Hart Lane, with a 61,000 capacity and 40,000 season-ticket holders. 'Quite emotional but all for positive reasons.

Tottenham Hotspur bid a fitting farewell to White Hart Lane with a 2-1 win against Manchester United while Liverpool are on the brink of qualifying for the Champions League after Philippe Coutinho inspired a 4-0 rout of West Ham on Sunday. "For now it is to say to the fans and everyone that we will give our best and try to fight again next season to try to win the league".

"Now it's time to play two good games to close the Premier League and reach the Europa League final in the best shape that we can", Mata told the club's official website.

Everything seems to be going in the right direction for the north London club. Obviously, it would've been much better to win and be able to say that you were the last team who won there, but we couldn't.

"This has been a proper send off to what has been an wonderful stadium for us".

Like most old English football stadiums, White Hart Lane hasn't changed much during the years, and as such there are several areas of the ground that don't lend very well to a spectator's view.

Spurs, whose late implosion saw them finish third last season, went ahead in the sixth minute at White Hart Lane through Victor Wanyama before Kane doubled the hosts' advantage just after the break.

Last time they met in the playoffs: Warriors vs. Spurs
For us, we've got to box out, and obviously for us, if they're sending all those guys to the glass, we want to push it. He did not even attempt a shot before knocking down a three-pointer with 6:18 remaining in the second quarter.

Former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker has revealed that he "once lost a tooth" at White Hart Lane as redevelopment started on the stadium.

The England worldwide was left out of the starting lineup for the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea, as well as their 2-0 win over arch rivals Arsenal.

'We've had 30-odd thousand this season, ' said Kane.

"I hope we can enjoy something similar after the final in Stockholm".

"I keep going back to the word 'family.' Everyone just has a special connection here - the club legends that walked out, and the team we have got now and the staff and the manager". We have to hold on to that and use it as motivation, hopefully, to lift the title next year.

"The board shouldn't listen to people like us saying what a fabulous team they've got, they should be saying, "We are going to have to go out and strengthen next year" - because it's guaranteed Chelsea will, the team that finished above them".

Mourinho said: "I don't know the way the other clubs think, I don't know what is important for them".
