Democrat calls for President Donald Trump's impeachment in US House floor speech

In addition Trump is facing pointed questions about his discussions with Russian diplomats during which he is reported to have disclosed classified information. His offer added a weird twist to the furor over Trump's intelligence disclosures. A person familiar with the document says Comey wrote that Trump asked him to drop the bureau's investigation of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

How did the White House react? Yet U.S. allies and some members of Congress have expressed alarm.

Lu was compelled to make this point after the New York Times published a barn burner of an article based on a memo authored by former FBI Director James Comey in which Comey indicated that President Trump had asked him to stop the investigation into retired Gen. Mike Flynn, which was a part of the investigation into Trump's possible collusion with Russian Federation.

Asked what he thinks of Trump presidency, Putin said it's up to the American people to judge but his performance can only be rated "only when he's allowed to work at full capacity", implying that someone is hampering Trump's efforts.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has lashed out at USA politicians whipping up what he described as "anti-Russian sentiment" for being either "stupid" or "dangerous".

"I do not do this for political purposes, I do this because I believe in the great ideals that this country stands for: Liberty and justice for all", he said.

Firing FBI Director James Comey is already coming back to haunt President Donald Trump.

Not long afterward, the leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee made a similar request for all memos that Comey may have written about meetings with the president. In other words, we're not just focusing on what the president said, but also what he did.

Several Quebec communities coping with flooding
The Canadian military will deploy about 1,200 troops to help deal with the flooding, CBC reported. Officers are continuing to search for the missing pair.

In a statement, Green said the president has "committed an impeachable act and must be charged" with obstruction of justice relation to the investigation.

John McCain, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said late Tuesday that the developments had reached "Watergate size and scale". According to Trump, he did so specifically because of his dissatisfaction with Comey's investigation into the Russian Federation scandal.

House Speaker Paul Ryan, meanwhile, argued against a rush to judgment on the revelations while Congress exercises its oversight authority over the president.

There are multiple open investigations into possible Trump-Russia ties.

Still, despite the fact that both Republicans and Democrats have demonstrated an interest in investigating the credibility of the New York Times' report and its implications, most appear willing to wait for more facts before seriously considering further action.

And then again, on Tuesday night, when the New York Times first reported that Comey wrote a memo in February saying that Trump asked him to end the probe of national security adviser Michael Flynn.

But the president's critics also tweeted in force with many forecasting what the upcoming White House press briefing would look like amid the controversy.

The White House denied the version of the conversation described by Comey's aides, telling The Post "the president has never asked Mr. Comey or anyone else to end an investigation".
