Manchester United want to sign Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan this summer

Manchester United have an eye on Roma and Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan over the summer, according to reports.

Sky Sports News HQ understands United are keen to trump Chelsea in their efforts to sign the 29-year old, one of the most sought-after midfield talents in Europe.

Chelsea reportedly made several offers to land Nainggolan last summer, but were constantly rebuffed by Roma, who turned down a final offer of over £34m for the Belgian worldwide.

The Belgian spoke to Sky Sports in March relating to the interest from Antonio Conte and also mentioned how he admires the Premier League.

Nainggolan said: "Yes. I talked to him".

Mr Rosenstein said the appointment was "necessary in order for the American people to have full confidence in the outcome". One difference, however: Special counsels get to choose whether they inform the Justice Department what they're up to.

Nainggolan moved to Roma in 2014 for £7.7m but has since made a huge name for himself with his tenacious attitude and aggressive approach to the game.

How he would fare in the Premier League, however, is another question; Mourinho will undoubtedly demand goals from any midfield reinforcements he makes over the summer. 'They were really interested and wanted me over there.

Where Nainggolan eventually ends up is anyone's guess, although it's safe to assume that Mourinho stands a better chance of getting his man if United beat Ajax in the Europa League final next Wednesday, thus qualifying for next season's Champions League. I am having a good season.

He has contributed 11 goals and four assists from 35 appearances in Serie A this season, while featuring a further 16 times in other competitions. "When the window opens we will talk about it again".
