Trump, Netanyahu speak by phone, but reportedly don't discuss leaks

President Trump asked then-FBI Director James Comey to end the FBI investigation into Michael Flynn's ties with Russian Federation and with Turkey, according to a memo written by Comey documenting their meeting, CBS News' Andres Triay and Jeff Pegues confirmed Tuesday.

Their remarks come after recent revelations that President Trump asked then-FBI Director James Comey to end the FBI investigation into Michael Flynn's ties with Russian Federation and with Turkey, according to a memo written by Comey documenting their meeting.

If Donald Trump did indeed ask James Comey to "let" the Flynn investigation "go", that would be a clear case of obstruction of justice.

Trump said to Comey that Flynn was a good guy, to which Comey agreed, the person said.

A White House official further emphasized that acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe gave testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee last week in which he said, "There has been no effort to impede our investigation to date".

In the meantime, Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee said Wednesday they've also asked ousted FBI Director James Comey to testify to Congress.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has demanded memos, recordings and other materials that former director Comey may have prepared, with a deadline of next week.

Flynn left his post in February after media reports that he misled the vice president about his contacts with Russian Federation.

"We need to have all the facts, and it is appropriate for the House oversight committee to request this memo", AshLee Strong, a spokeswoman for House speaker Paul Ryan, said in a statement.

Yulin Set to Ban Dog Meat Sales at This Year's Controversial Festival
I'm impressed that the younger generation in Yulin and in China is as compassionate as their counterparts in the rest of world. Duo Duo Project executive director Andrea Gung said she hoped the ban started a domino effect to collapse the dog meat trade.

Those scandals have rocked the White House recently, and has further alienated Republicans in Congress who already appeared to be having a hard time working in sync with the Trump administration to move legislation. He served as a USA representative for IN between 1995 and 2001. CNN has not viewed the document, but the reported memo has caused shockwaves to ripple across Washington, raising the question of impeachment with Democrats and leading some Republicans to consider a special prosecutor to investigate the Trump campaign's ties to Russia's 2016 hacking.

Jason Chaffetz said in a tweet yesterday that he still hasn't spoken with Comey about testifying.

"I think it's reaching the point where it's of Watergate size and scale", said Sen. "This is not a truthful or accurate portrayal of the conversation between the President and Mr. Comey".

If proven to be accurate, the memo could be the clearest indication yet that Trump has attempted to pressure the FBI into an ongoing investigation into his campaign's links to Russian Federation. What else may the president have improperly asked of federal law enforcement officers?

"Congressman Mast believes that Congress needs to have access to whatever Comey memo or notes exist", Mast spokesman Brad Stewart said in an email.

The news came within a week of Trump's dismissal of Comey and a day after reports that Trump had shared classified information with Russian officials.

The Wisconsin Republican was asked on his way out of a news conference whether he still had confidence in Trump, and he responded, "I do".

"I'm sure we're going to go on to hear from Mr. Comey about why, if this happened as he allegedly describes, why didn't he take action at the time", Ryan said.
