Trump visit draws country singer Toby Keith to Saudi Arabia

In Saudi Arabia, Trump would address a gathering of Muslim leaders on Sunday.

Trump and first lady Melania Trump will partake in an official dinner with the Saudi royal family that evening, according to McMaster.

Saudi Arabia is ready to receive the leaders of more than 56 countries to take part in two summits in Riyadh with US President Donald trump, Okaz local newspaper reported on Wednesday. President Richard Nixon did the same thing during his 1974 trip to the Middle East, which was the first time a sitting American president visited Israel.

The final decision in this regard would be taken by the generals on the ground. His anti-Muslim rhetoric in the months leading up to his electoral win (and after) sparked a verifiable uptick in hate crimes, hate speech and violence against Muslims and Jews in America. And he began his presidency with an announcement of a temporary ban on Muslim refugees and visas for people from several Muslim-majority countries. According to National Public Radio, Trump had said previous year: "Until the oil went down, Saudi Arabia was making a billion dollars a day".

"What we find that a lot of these countries find in the gray because the people next to them, .compete with them". "If the president extends an olive branch but then doesn't implement any policy changes", said Byman, "that's going to send a louder message than a speech". The White House is aware of reports that an American diplomat refused to allow Netanyahu to join Trump on the visit, but an official cautioned that the reported comments did not reflect the president's views. "The Kingdom believes that this will be a historic visit not only because of the unprecedented number of summits taking place - bilateral, the GCC, and Islamic - but because it will show to the world that the United States and Arab-Muslim countries can form a deep and enduring partnership", a statement said.

New French President Macron's cabinet unveiled
French President Emmanuel Macron says he wants a Europe that is both more conducive to investment and more protective of workers. Among names being bandied around for the top job in Macron's first government, speculation mostly centered on Edouard Philippe.

He is also scheduled to hold a separate joint session with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders.

From Saudi Arabia, Trump will head to Israel where he will meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas.

The president plans to be the first serving USA president to visit the Western Wall, one of the holiest sites in the Jewish faith. The two differ on nearly every major issue, from whether man-made climate change exists to advantages of capitalism; rights of refugees and growing inequality in the world.

While Trump's absence from Washington may give Republicans a breather from the controversies that have consumed the White House, Trump is entering an equally perilous zone.

From Rome, Trump will go to Brussels, Belgium to attend a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation meeting. This meeting will be integral part of Trump's trip as just last month, he declared that North Atlantic Treaty Organisation was "no longer obsolete", contradicting what he repeatedly said during his campaign days. He will then attend a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels, before returning to Italy to attend a meeting of G7 nations in Sicily.
