2 killed in Tornadoes in Wisconsin, Oklahoma

Severe thunderstorms brought hail and one spotted tornado across parts of western Oklahoma and northwestern Texas on Thursday, after two days of severe weather in the Plains and Midwest. He said at least one child was among the injured. No details of the fatality were given.

Sheriff Fitzgerald said sirens were sounded in Chetek 25 minutes before the storm hit the mobile home park, but he does not know if park residents could hear them from that distance. He also added that when the responders first came to the scene there were a lot of people yelling and asking for help.

The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management remains activated due to the effects of severe weather and the threat for continued severe weather this week, officials said in a news release.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker was scheduled to view the damage Wednesday afternoon. He says all residents of the mobile home park have been accounted for. An infant that was rescued, was conscious and alert at the time, Fitzgerald said. That's just north of Eau Claire.

As the tornado continued on it crossed the street and hit a Jennie-O turkey farm, destroying 6 of their barns.

"The trailer next to us is just gone; it's just splinters", he said, noting with relief that the person living there wasn't home at the time the tornado struck.

Devin Feuerhelm told KMSP-TV that his sister, Lenna Samuelson, lives in the park with her two daughters, Ashley and Brenna. Trees were flattened or splintered and dozens of homes were destroyed.

He will also be touring the Prairie Lake Estates mobile home park, where it was heavily damaged by Tuesday's tornado. He said he and his wife drove away to safety and returned just after the twister left the area to find the park in ruins.

"We're alive. That's the main thing", he said.

"I thought we were done", said Tyson.

The Red Cross and the Salvation Army set up a shelter and were providing food and clothes for displaced families. Authorities say a 46-year-old man was killed and a couple of dozen people were injured. Sheriff Jeffery Wallace said the tornado traveled east through Rusk County, touching down several places, including Lake Amacoy and Conrath areas, which sustained the most damage.

Director Sam Porter said the operation's trained volunteers are assessing damage in Elk City. The department told residents to stay home because power lines were down across the city.

Robert Black, was standing outside his home watching the storm kick up when golf ball-size hail drove him inside.

The storm hit the Cameron trailer park at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
