Former Fox News chief Roger Ailes dies at 77

O'Reilly has denied those accusations.

Brock and co-authors wrote that Fox had been the source of "politically motivated misinformation", arguing that it "claims to be a "fair and balanced" news network while brazenly broadcasting demonstrable lies and distortions, always with a conservative spin".

Authorities say Ailes died of bleeding on the brain caused by an earlier fall at home.

"What he did at FOX is undeniably a masterstroke", said Kudlow. His manner of death was ruled accidental.

Murdoch called Ailes "a great patriot" in a statement Thursday.

Nixon would later invite Ailes to travel from Media, Delaware County, where he lived at the time, to NY, where, Ailes told the Inquirer, "Nixon's staff grilled me for three hours". She and Zachary and all of us are devastated by this loss, but we are also very proud to have had Roger Ailes and to have benefitted from his achievements. He made Fox News a comfortable venue for Republican figures, offering up a soft, on-air landing place for out-of-office politicians like Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, John Kasich, Sarah Palin and Rick Santorum.

"Everybody at Fox News is shocked and grieved by the death of Roger Ailes".

In 2009, Fox anchors reported incorrectly that the Obama administration was pursuing concentration camps.

Tom Brady 'does have concussions,' wife Gisele Bundchen says
The QB will be 40 when the next football season begins and has said he'd like to keep playing for up to five more years. Hopefully she never says, 'Look, this has to be it, '" Brady said in that interview.

Hosts Bret Baier, Bill Hemmer, and Sean Hannity quickly praised Ailes, and Ainsley Earhardt choked up on "Fox & Friends" while announcing Ailes' death.

"More than anyone, Roger knew how to frame the message and communicate it to the masses", Huckabee said. "He was a genius". Even former President George H.W. Bush remembered Ailes' influence.

Ailes' career in television began in Cleveland and Philadelphia, where he started as Property Assistant (1962), Producer (1965), and Executive Producer (1967-68) for KYW-TV. In my opinion, few sought the comprehensive truth about Roger Ailes. He was taken to a hospital by attending paramedics, the Palm Beach Police Department said.

Consider that one descriptor of Ailes pops up again and again: loyal. I will miss his friendship dearly.

"Roger was a great patriot who never ceased fighting for his beliefs", the 86-year-old said in a statement.

Roger Ailes, the former chairman and CEO of Fox News who revolutionized television news, died Thursday, his wife revealed.

The media mogul also served as an adviser to Republican presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan and, after his exit from Fox News, the election campaign of presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Ailes long commanded one of the pillars of Murdoch's media empire, and a unit of the Murdoch-led conglomerate 21st Century Fox.
