Google release Android O version

The South Korean home electronics provider said it demonstrated Google Home-equipped LG home appliances at the Google I/O developer conference held in Mountain View, California on Wednesday. Today's program also includes sessions on the future of Web payments, bringing Google Assistant to any device, the future of immersive computing, security for Internet of Things devices, enterprise IoT developments and home automation with Google Assistant.

Primarily, Android Go focuses on three areas - Android OS, Google apps, and Google Play Store. At the very right is a microphone icon if you want to revert back to using your voice to issue commands to Assistant. So Google has now announced support for a different programming language called the Kotlin. Google is well aware that the Assistant may be the future of Google Search - a core way that people look up information. The new Google Lens initiative will use deep learning so that, for example, the user's device will recognize location, determine what objects are there, and complete an action.

Google is also making available the conversation history for Assistant available without the need to navigate to a Google account page.

These features would be exciting as additions to Android O. But they're a much bigger deal broken off and included inside the Assistant.

Flynn lawyers say will not honor subpoena for Russia-related documents
Flynn, a retired Army lieutenant general, was sacked from his position as Trump's national security adviser in February. Flynn has not agreed to comply with May 10 subpoena for documents about his interactions with Russian officials.

The service also gives Google a chance to gain momentum against rival Apple Pay. Enough to take advantage of the innovations of the American giant.

"And with more than 50 billion apps scanned every day, Google's machine learning systems are always on the lookout for new risks", the company said. In a test yesterday, my colleague saw a Pixel running the Android O beta boot up more than twice as fast as a Pixel running Nougat.

Android Go is set to make its appearance in 2018 and will target Android devices with memories up to and including 1 GB. Just look at the list of updates: an overhaul to Messages, new sorting features in Photos, third-party integrations with Siri. Users will be able to ask the Assistant how many cleaning pods are left in the dishwasher, or tell it to pre-heat the oven to 350F, or ask if the laundry is clean. That doesn't absolve them from finding new places to iterate and improve upon their platforms, but it does mean that the way we interact with their operating systems is bound to see fewer changes year to year.
