That has left foreign policy analysts wondering which Donald Trump is going to show up for his first foreign trip, which has him visiting five countries in the Middle East and Europe over nine days.

Like President Donald Trump, the trip overseas will be her first since her husband's inauguration in January.

Other efforts to impress Trump on his first stop include a U.S. -Saudi business forum with top executives from companies such as Dow Chemical and a banquet in the hopes of forging a "new partnership" between the two countries.

During his first stop in Saudi Arabia, Trump will give a speech focused on Islam and terrorism.

Christiane Amanpour, chief global correspondent for CNN, looks ahead to Trump first foreign trip on Friday.

"This will not just be an opportunity to support my husband as he works on important matters of national security and foreign relations, it will also be my honor to visit and speak with women and children from different countries, with different perspectives".

When he takes off on Friday, Trump will be 119 days into his first term, marking the latest first foreign trip in the past 50 years by a USA president.

And in Sicily, the president will meet with the other leaders of the G7, a gathering of Western economic powers.

"We are in the final stages of a series of deals", the official said.
