Ajax boss Peter Bosz has suggested the pressure will be off his side and on Manchester United when they meet in the Europa League final next week.

Crystal Palace secured safety last week after a big win at home against Hull City in a game that saw the Tigers get relegated.

The Portuguese appeared to suggest he had not asked the Premier League to switch the match from Sunday - the final day of the season - describing the prospect as "a lost battle".

It makes sense for Manchester United to now focus on the Europa League as their last hope for European football next season.

"I can not say that but I'm pretty sure that from a mental and a tactical point of view, we have had a very good evolution".

The Argentine, handed a place in the starting XI over David de Gea in preparation for next week's Europa League final, kept the game scoreless with a sensational save from Manolo Gabbiadini's penalty after five minutes.

I think the next time he plays will be against Los Angeles Galaxy during the preseason tour.

"I try to analyse the realities before I arrived in the club, but you only know the reality when you are inside", Mourinho told Omnisport. "We have to accept the way it is", he added. "The most important thing is the group and the fans and we go there in Stockholm for the win".

"I hope that Big Sam shows he's a good friend and they go slow". He tells to (Wilfried) Zaha to go slow, he leaves (Christian) Benteke at home.

On Wednesday it was also reported that Michael Keane is set to become Mourinho's first summer signing as United moved closer to recapturing their former centre-back from Burnley.

Jose Mourinho: "I will bring [Demetri] Mitchell, [Scott] McTominay who were on the bench, Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly, [Matty] Willock will come too, Josh Harrop will come, Zachary [Dearnley] will come".

In a conference call with investors, he said that United had made "tremendous progress on and off the pitch" under Mourinho, who took over as manager following the departure of Louis van Gaal last summer. There are clubs with more stability than us, better squads, more time to work.
