Pemberton music festival files for bankruptcy, no event this year

Headliners for the 2017 event included Chance the Rapper, Muse and A Tribe Called Quest. Now, however, reports are brewing that the fest has been cancelled as its organizers have filed for bankruptcy.

Brennan adds the concert has only been able to generate more than $8.2 million in revenue, while working with a $22 million budget.

Unfortunately there are no automatic refunds from PMF. "We are extremely disappointed for our fans, artists and all of our partners who have supported the festival over the years".

For the past four years Huka Entertainment has worked to create a one-of-a-kind experience in the most handsome place on earth.

"They should be making a claim in respect of the credit card company's insurance, so that they can try to recover their ticket proceeds through that claims process itself". They also report the festival owes its creditors approximately $2.5 million US, or over $3.4 million CAD.

(UPDATE: 4:10 p.m.) - Pemberton Music Festival has deleted all of their social media channels.

Sean Spicer Claims Delay in Firing Followed Protocol
President Trump fired Flynn on February 13 because of his false statements to Pence. "He stands by it", Spicer told reporters. But inside the White House, the McMaster pick has not gone over well with the one man who matters most.

Global News has learned that the organizers of the Pemberton Music Festival have filed for bankruptcy. Of course, this is up to the discretion of the ticket holders bank.

"As PMF is now in bankruptcy, it has no ability to provide refunds for tickets purchased", the notice reads.

The event is produced and promoted by Huka in collaboration with the Village of Pemberton, Sunstone Group, Lil'wat Nation and Squamish-Lillooet Regional District.

Pemberton Mayor Mike Richman said the city had been given no warning that bankruptcy was imminent, and presumed the festival was going ahead after the lineup was revealed. "But it's unfortunate for me to be the person breaking this news if that's the case, because if you didn't pay on credit card, odds are you'll be lucky to recover very much".

The 2017 Pemberton Music Festival scheduled for July 13 - 16, 2017 is cancelled and will not proceed as scheduled. The Trustee will issue formal notice of the bankruptcy proceeding to all known creditors of PMF within 5 days of its appointment. Up until 3 PM Thursday (5/18), tickets were still available for sale on the festival's site. The Trustee will provide an update to creditors in due course.

Ticket holders who used a credit card for their purchase are advised by the website to contact their bank or credit card issuer to see if they can obtain a refund. The Trustee will provide further details concerning contact information for the various credit cards and financial institutions on its website.
