President Trump talks media accuracy, warns Comey on Twitter

Trump said in an interview with NBC that the Russian Federation investigation factored into his decision to fire Comey.

"I think the process is going to go quickly. Warner and myself to make", Burr said.

So far, the episode has attracted a wave of fiery criticism from Democrats, who maintained that firing Comey was part of Trump's plan to undercut the FBI investigation and called for an independent prosecutor to take over the investigation.

Testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee, McCabe repeatedly - and at times bluntly - rejected some of the claims the White House has used to explain the firing and to describe the investigation. They also commented only condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations.

"I can tell you that the majority, the vast majority of Federal Bureau of Investigation employees, enjoyed a deep and positive connection to Director Comey", said McCabe, who called it the "greatest privilege and honor in my professional life to work with him". He said that while he received a scathing assessment of Comey's performance from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Monday, that memo was not a catalyst for his dramatic decision as the White House had said earlier.

The swirling controversy has obliterated any momentum from the House passage of the Republican health care bill last week and threatens to overshadow Trump's first worldwide trip, beginning next week, in which the president will meet with leaders in both the Middle East and Europe. Mitch McConnell, Josh Holmes, said McConnell is interested in the suggestion.

Gov. Dayton signs bill to upgrade MN licenses to meet federal standards
Its passage allows the state to get an extension to continue using standard driver's licenses to board planes until October 2020. Mark Dayton as expected, it will allow Minnesota to follow the other 49 US states in moving to upgrade their licensing systems.

The 49-year-old McCabe, a career FBI agent, has taken part in a number of high-profile investigations, including probes into the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013 and the attacks against United States installations in Benghazi, Libya in 2012. During questioning, Clapper insisted that he was not aware of evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. Schumer asked for answers to the questions by Monday. The Justice Department seemed to be laying the groundwork for that possibility even before his congressional appearance, with leaders there interviewing four other candidates for the interim job Wednesday.

Several people close to the president say his reliance on a small cadre of advisers as he mulled firing Comey reflects his broader distrust of many of his own staffers.

Senior Senate Appropriations Committee Democrats Patrick Leahy and Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., who oversee funding for the Justice Department, are also trying to clarify that point with Rosenstein.

Wednesday: "He did have a conversation with the deputy attorney general on Monday where they had come to him to express their concerns".

In his short letter to Comey, Trump made a specific point of mentioning that he "appreciated" how the FBI told him three times he was not personally under investigation over Russian Federation.

"Our story is consistent", she said.
