Try Xbox Live and Minecraft for free this weekend

This week is all about the fans, as Microsoft has loads of stuff going on.

Microsoft has announced that it's making multiplayer free to all Xbox One, and Xbox 360 owners for the weekend.

While Xbox Live is an ideal service when it comes to getting free games and playing online with friends, that doesn't mean that everyone has it.

Still, if you've not paid to try Live before it should give you a taster, and if you've not played Minecraft yet then. wait, how have you not played Minecraft yet?

More bugs may be released: Hacking group
In the same jibberish rant, it has also been mentioned that the hacker group is now planning to follow a monthly data dump cycle. The group, which previously released legitimate information, branded the move a "data dump of the month" service.

You can check out the trailer below to get more details about the weekend, as well as seeing more of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition in action, so you can get a pretty good idea of what it's about.

The Microsoft liaison Major Nelson has revealed the list of games you can get for a discounted price if you're subscribing to Xbox Live Gold, and the list includes games like Destiny and Forza Horizon 3. There isn't a better game to test this with unlike Minecraft.

That means you can set to work creating and exploring new Minecraft worlds, alone or with your friends, "where the only limit is what you can imagine". In fact, if you've got an Xbox you can download it from the store right now.
