WhatsApp Pinned Chats Feature Comes to Android

However, it must be noted that this feature has only been made available to Android devices for now.

In its latest little updates WhatsApp, the Mark Zuckerberg-owned company, has rolled out the "pinned chats" feature.

We first got a glimpse of the feature around two weeks ago, when it was rolled out in Beta. However, there are some people on user's contacts list who are important to them and want their chats to stay on top, regardless of new messages from others.

According to WhatsApp, "With pinned chats, you never have to worry about scrolling through the long list of conversations to text your family members or your best friend".

WhatsApp's "pinned chat" feature lets you pin their favourite chats on the top of the app. Users can pin up to three chats on WhatsApp and the feature works both for the group chats and individual chats. Similarly, to unpin a chat, tap and hold and you will find the unpin option pop up at the top. Then they can tap the pin icon at the top of the screen. You can pin a maximum of three chats one by one. Users can go to the Google Play Store and update their apps.

So how do you use this feature? Once you select the option, your chat will move right on top.

Unfortunately, the pin chats feature now support only three chats after which it shows a notification that "You can only pin up to 3 chats" if you try to pin another chat. To unpin, long press on the chat, and you'll see the unpin option on top.
