Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger snaps back at Tony Adams

But Wenger insists just because a player forged a career at Arsenal does not mean the club owe them a coaching role after retirement.

It's claimed that Arsenal are desperate to avoid selling to another Premier League side, and are prepared to even see his contract down run down and potentially leave on a free next summer.

The under-pressure manager is out of contract at the end of the season and is facing growing calls to quit.

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, said a decision on his future at the club would be made at a board meeting after their FA Cup final against Chelsea on May 27.

Speaking of Arsenal star players, Alexis Sanchez will nearly surely leave the club if Arsenal fail to book their place in the Champions League. Manchester City has 75 points, Liverpool has 73, and Arsenal has 72.

Arsenal must beat Everton on Sunday and can finish fourth if relegated Middlesbrough draw with or win against Liverpool the same day. As things stand now, the Gunners will play in the Europa League next season and, no doubt, the club chiefs will give their best to reinforce the squad in the summer transfer window in order to bring glory days back to Emirates Stadium. It doesn't matter about chances.

Wenger added: "We have to do our job, we are professionals and want to win".

Ronald Koeman: "We have a strong home record but we need to improve away from home and be more clinical next season". We are professional and we want to win.

Sharapova won't request Wimbledon wild card
Sharapova's attempts to secure a wildcard for this month's French Open were rejected by the French Tennis Federation this week. That ranking was not good enough to make the French Open qualifying draw but is good enough for Wimbledon qualifying.

It really is out of the Gunners hands whether they qualify for the Champions League next season.

"They don't behave like players who are disinterested in the future of the club".

"I do not give too much importance to what Tony Adams says, honestly", said the Frenchman.

But when asked if a lack of Champions League football could make it harder to keep them, Wenger said: "No, because they are part of the results as well". But then Uefa, which has concluded most of the territorial broadcasting deals for the Champions League's next 2018-21 period, is projecting a very substantial increase itself, 49% more than the current €1.345bn, to €2.016bn a season.

Alexis Sanchez has 23 Premier League goals this season and is in the race for the Golden Boot.

Despite missing three months of the season because of injury, Kane is the first Tottenham player to score four hat tricks in a season since Jimmy Greaves in 1968-69.

"There needs to be a lot of change, a lot of change", he said on Sky Sports.
