Cavs ready for adjustments from Celtics in Game 2

The Celtics, who lost the first two games of their first-round series with the Chicago Bulls at home, had won five straight at home since then before losing the opener of this series. "I know I can impact the game whether it shows up in the stat sheet or not". It was a total team effort, however, most of Celtics head coach Brad Stevens' attention was on one man and that was LeBron James.

Still, it was the Celtics' worst home playoff loss ever.

Thomas finished with just a pair of free throws, missing all six shots from the field. I'm not sure they're good enough to get him where they got him on March 1.

"My only job is to try and be the MVP for this team every night", James said postgame. "It was a great atmosphere, and more than anything else, focused on that and our gameplan". If the C's allow Thompson to grab 6 offensive rebounds and score 20 points on 7 for 7 shooting like he did in Game 1, they'll get run off the court once again.

James already a four-time NBA MVP (2009, 2010, 2012, 2013) didn't let the omission faze him in least bit.

Lue chuckled when he found out after the game that James was not a finalist. "I mean, he obviously doesn't know where he's going, but ... he's excited about the opportunity".

But James, who's won the award four times, still has a chance for a fourth National Basketball Association title - and second in a row.

However, let's be clear - what we will be putting over is the type of leader Jeremy will be, and people will respect him, I think. Mr Corbyn will say: "Where the Tories look to divide, Labour seeks to bring people together".

James had 22 points in the first half, when he also collected six assists and had three blocked shots, including a chase-down rejection of Bradley that was reminiscent of the one against Andre Iguodala in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The Celtics spent 82 games trying to gain that advantage, it took all but 48 minutes for them to lose it.

That one was critical to clinching Cleveland's first championship since the Browns won the National Football League title in 1964.

One thing the Celtics would love to bring to the table is more offense from Isaiah Thomas.

"It's hard to take", Al Horford said. We'll just have to wait and see which poison the Celtics pick. It's been tough for our group. James played just 33 minutes - a low for this postseason and just the second time he played fewer than 40 in the 2017 playoffs.

"They put you in a bad matchup nearly every time down the floor", Celtics coach Brad Stevens said Thursday. Green made his first two shots - both 3-pointers - but finished with six points. There was a large contingent of New England Patriots sitting courtside, including tight end Rob Gronkowski, backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and owner Robert Kraft.

"So that's the formula whereby you have to get them to that spot, to hope that LeBron freezes up, makes the wrong choice - you think it's the right choice, I think it's the wrong one - but that's your only hope here".
