Cleveland Cavaliers thrash Boston Celtics in historic victory

LeBron James scored 30 points and dished out 7 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers blew out the Boston Celtics, 130-86 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. It's not clear exactly when the injury first occurred, but it was quietly reported early in the second round.

"I thought he looked much different in the first half", Stevens said.

Even if Thomas does play, the Celtics will need to play a almost ideal game to beat Cleveland at Quicken Loans Arena, where it went an Eastern Conference-best 31-10 during the regular season.

To make things worse for the Celtics, Isaiah Thomas was lost to a right hip strain at halftime.

After closing the gap to within a point, 11-10, on a pair of Thomas free throws, the Cavaliers went on a 61-21 run to finish off the first half. He was replaced in the second half by Marcus Smart. He was pretty despondent not to be able to play. "I mean, that guy is a tough guy, and he plays through a lot".

"It's hard to take", Al Horford said.

We think we can safely say that Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley playing cards during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals is much more intriguing than the actual game itself. Thomas is expected to undergo additional testing Saturday. "To me just seeing his growth over the year, he's gotten better and better each time we played them, and that's just from these guys developing him".

"Anytime we don't have Isaiah on the court is obviously a minus for us", added Green.

"It's one game. I don't care if you win by 200 points", Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue said. Just his presence, his way to compete is contagious.

Sharapova won't request Wimbledon wild card
Sharapova's attempts to secure a wildcard for this month's French Open were rejected by the French Tennis Federation this week. That ranking was not good enough to make the French Open qualifying draw but is good enough for Wimbledon qualifying.
