Dario Saric: Dario, Embiid and Brogdon for ROY

We happen to think that Malcolm Brogdon deserves the award.

Brogdon averaged 10.2 points-per-game, while dishing out 4.2 assists and posting 4.1 win-shares for the Milwaukee Bucks. Saric was also Rookie of the Month in February and March. Embiid was unquestionably the best rookie to play in 2016-17, but the fact that he was limited to 31 games and on a minutes restriction (even though that part should actually work in his favor) will cost him some votes. The former Cavalier shot 86.5 percent from the field and 40.3 percent from 3-point range.

We already got the great news about his Greek teammate, but Malcolm Brogdon has been chosen as one of the top three finalists for the National Basketball Association 2017 Rookie of the Year award. Embiid led all rookies in points, rebounds and blocks per game.

Both Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal named Saric as their choice for Rookie of the Year during the reveal, while Kenny Smith went with Brogdon.

The victor of the award will be announced as part of the first-ever NBA Awards telecast June 26 on TNT from Basketball City in NY.
