'Hamilton' Star Lin-Manuel Miranda Joins Disney XD's 'DuckTales'

In addition to Hamilton his Broadway work has included In the Heights and Bring It On.

Disney has just confirmed that its latest collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda - aside from Mary Poppins and seemingly a hojillion other projects they're working on together - will be DuckTales, as Miranda will joining its voice cast as one of Duckberg's greatest heroes, Gizmoduck, AKA Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera. He composed songs for Disney's "Moana", including the Oscar-nominated "How Far I'll Go". The film is scheduled to be released Christmas Day 2018. The series already has been renewed for a second season ahead of its summer launch. The man behind "Hamilton" has had a hard time stifling himself and the news he'll be the voice of Gizmoduck in a remake of the Disney cartoon "DuckTales".

This is a frankly flawless bit of casting for the show; at least as impressive as getting Doctor Who's David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck.

WannaCry virus primarily targeted Windows 7 computers
Liran Eshel, chief executive of cloud storage provider CTERA Networks, said: "The attack shows how sophisticated ransomware has become, forcing even unaffected organisations to rethink strategies".

Co-producer and story editor Francisco Angones said: "Growing up as a Cuban-American comics enthusiast, I was always hungry for a Latino hero to call my own".

The "Ducktales" reboot will follow the adventures of Scrooge McDuck, his grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, their uncle Donald Duck, and their trusty team, Webby Vanderquack, Launchpad McQuack and Mrs. Beakley.

"Lin came to mind instantly for the role of Gizmoduck", executive producer Matt Youngberg added. "His rapid-fire earnestness paired with his wide-eyed yet determined optimism made him the ideal person to yell 'BLATHERING BLATHERSKITE!'" We definitely agree that this is casting is flawless and Miranda fits the bill (JK not sorry at all) perfectly.
