There are a lot of ideas floating around about what the Celtics should do with the number one pick.

Now, fresh off a Game 7 semifinal win over the Washington Wizards, the Celtics in many ways find themselves playing with house money as they prepare to host a LeBron James-led Cleveland team carrying all the expectations into tonight's Game 1 in Boston.

The 2017 National Basketball Association draft lottery was held on Tuesday, which means we're that much closer to the National Basketball Association draft on June 22nd. The other time was 1950 when Boston picked Chuck Share, who never played a game for the team.

"We've been counted out since I've been here so that's nothing new", said Boston's Isaiah Thomas.

"Back in 2013 it felt like a fair deal for both sides", Grousbeck said.

The Philadelphia 76ers could do a few different things with the third overall pick in the draft, and most of the options they have would still benefit the team greatly.

Additionally, the Celtics most likely received the first pick in an NBA-backed effort to break the Cavs monopoly over the Eastern Conference.

It was pretty evident up to the draft lottery that the Lakers and the Ball family mutually felt like they would be a good fit.

This is risky business that the first choice for National Security Advisor turned out to be a liar in the White House. Pence vouched for Flynn in television interviews, using information he's said came from the national security adviser.

The Celtics will go from No. 1 seed to No. 1 pick after their 25 percent chance of winning came through Tuesday night.

That right to swap picks is just the latest reward for the Celtics.

Ding could be implying that carry-overs like Ryan West and Jesse Buss were higher on Ingram than they are on the likes of Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball or any other prospects in this class.

The Los Angeles Lakers meanwhile discovered they will get second pick.

"When [Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum] called out No. 4 and he said it wasn't us, I said, 'Um, that's it, that's all I care about, ' " said Magic Johnson, the Hall of Famer in his first year as Lakers president. "There really was no way to walk out of here disappointed given the possible outcomes we faced. We look forward to a young player that we'll be able to draft next month".

"That's all we working out for is the Lakers", said LaVar. Phoenix will get the fourth overall pick.

In all fairness, however, I can not explain why the New York Knicks dropped to eight overall behind the Minnesota Timberwolves despite being tied in odds. Whether it's Portland's Damian Lillard, New Orleans' DeMarcus Cousins, or (cough, cough) Russell Westbrook, the Celtics should remain open to bringing in another star.
