PM to embark on two-day visit to Saudia Arabia tomorrow

Trump will be the second consecutive US president to address US-Muslim relations from a Muslim country in his first speech overseas.

President Donald Trump is preparing for a busy day of meetings in Saudi Arabia.

The president is scheduled to meet privately with the leaders in Jerusalem and Bethlehem respectively, with Trump's National Security Adviser General H.R. McMaster saying during a press briefing last week that the president will publicly endorse the Palestinian people's right to "self-determination".

Keith is also known for writing songs that feature patriotic lyrics, such as "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)" and "American Soldier".

On Friday, President Trump left Washington for Riyadh for a visit that he and his allies hope could lay the foundations for an "Arab Nato force" to push back Iran's growing influence in the Middle East as well as combat terrorism.

But his decision to fire FBI Director James Comey set off a fast-moving series of developments that turned questions over Russian meddling in the 2016 election and Moscow's potential influence with key Trump aides into a full-blown crisis, distracting the president as he was meant to be ramping up preparation for the trip. On Wednesday, the Justice Department relented to calls from Democrats to name a special counsel, tapping former Federal Bureau of Investigation chief Robert Mueller to lead the probe.

Israel was in an uproar earlier this week after USA officials confirmed Trump shared highly classified intelligence about the Islamic State group with senior Russian officials visiting the White House.

Comey, who has not spoken publicly in the 10 days since he was sacked, will testify in an open session of the US Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating possible Russian meddling in the 2016 election. The king did not greet Obama at the airport during his final visit to the nation past year.

His Saudi speech is aimed at the nations represented at an Arab and Muslim leaders' summit.

The Times said the document was based on notes taken from inside the Oval Office.

Sharapova won't request Wimbledon wild card
Sharapova's attempts to secure a wildcard for this month's French Open were rejected by the French Tennis Federation this week. That ranking was not good enough to make the French Open qualifying draw but is good enough for Wimbledon qualifying.

Trump's meeting with Pope Francis - two men at odds on everything from climate change to refugee policy - remains highly unpredictable, although the pontiff says he will give America's bullish leader an open-minded hearing.

Though most foreign governments closely monitor US politics, Tillerson told reporters the controversy surrounding Trump, such as his firing of FBI Director James Comey and the investigation of his campaign's ties to Russian Federation, isn't likely to affect his dealings overseas.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud extended an invitation to President Trump and leaders of the Islamic world to attend the "historic" summit to "Renew mutual commitment to global security and further strengthen already deep business, cultural and political ties". He was joined by First Lady Melania Trump.

They also discussed "steps to deepen our strategic partnership and promote stability and prosperity throughout the Middle East", said the White House.

Before departing, the president tweeted he would be "strongly protecting American interests" on his marathon eight-day trip to the Middle East and Europe.

When women visit Saudi Arabia from Western nations they typically forgo a head covering. The agreement will provide tanks, ships, and missile defense systems to the kingdom in an attempt to bolster its regional military prowess.

Trump will spend much of Saturday meeting with King Salman and other members of the royal family, culminating with a banquet dinner at the Murabba Palace.

During his two days in Riyadh, he will likely seek to strike a contrast with the Democrat Obama, who was widely viewed with suspicion by the Sunni Muslim monarchies of the Gulf.

The rest of the flight was spent getting very little sleep, Priebus said.

President Donald Trump will issue a call for unity in the fight against radicalism in the Muslim world, casting the challenge as a "battle between good and evil".
