Russian FM mocks US media over intelligence-sharing reports

Some of the classified intelligence that President Donald Trump shared with the Russians is so secret that the media is being asked not to report it, NBC News reported. As such, he said, there was nothing about the story for the Kremlin to confirm or deny.

In a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, Trump disclosed intelligence about a planned Daesh (ISIS) operation, which was supplied by a USA ally, two officials with knowledge of the situation said. But Trump told the Russians those things, the US officials said, as he described intelligence that led to the new rules banning electronic devices in the cabins of certain flights.

Even before Trump's meeting with the Russians, Washington's intelligence partners overseas have noted a barrage of reports around Trump, the Russians and spies.

The official said doing so "could be a risk for our sources".

"We had a very, very successful meeting with the foreign minister of Russia", Trump said in response to questions at a White House event with President Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.

Harvey Partied Until Early Morning Before Skipping Mets Game
Harvey is slated to start on Friday against the Brewers in Milwaukee, away from likely negative fan reaction at Citi Field. NY reinstated Harvey to the active roster Tuesday, opening a spot by optioning lefty reliever Josh Smoker to Triple-A.

Lischka, who sits on the German parliament's intelligence oversight committee, noted that Mr. Trump has access to "exclusive and highly sensitive information including in the area of combating terrorism".

"It is all kind of shocking", a former senior USA official, who is close to current administration officials, told the Washington Post. The information reportedly came from a USA partner through an intelligence-sharing agreement.

It was reported Tuesday that Israel was the source of some of that classified intel. Turnbull called it "the bedrock of our national security".

Lavrov said: "So, if you're talking about that, I see no secret here".

The Russian foreign minister said that over the past year and a half Russia had been sending the European Union proposals, including at the level of the country's president, regarding possible ways of restoring the currently-strained cooperation relations.
