Trump aides knew Flynn was under investigation prior to inauguration

"I just got a message from the President to stay strong", Flynn reportedly said at the end of the meal.

The conversations also included a way to establish a communications backchannel between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to circumvent the USA national security apparatus, whom both Putin and Trump viewed as inimical to good relations between the two countries.

She continued, "Those conversations deeply concerned USA intelligence officials and it even impacted what intelligence the incoming administration was privy to because some Obama intelligence acted on their own to limit how much sensitive information they shared with Flynn".

In 2015, when Trump began his presidential run, Flynn was paid more than $30,000 to attend Moscow events, including one where he sat next to Russian President Vladimir Putin at a dinner celebrating the Kremlin-controlled RT television network.

The plan was only approved by Trump after Flynn was sacked in February for misleading USA vice president Mike Pence and other White House officials about his ties to Russia's ambassador to the US.

President Donald Trump believes that once the FBI concludes its investigation into Russia's intervention in the US election, the man he fired as National Security Adviser can return to a White House position.

"Of course not", Pence said when asked whether anyone from the campaign was ever in touch with Russian Federation.

Additionally, as reported by the New York Times on Wednesday, Flynn informed the Trump transition team that he was under active federal investigation.

The White House did not respond to requests for comment.

Grigor Dimitrov , who broke into the top 10 during a breakthrough season in 2014, had found it tough to push on from that success. However, the Fognini had his winning game in the straight sets as 6-4, 6-4 against Portugal's Joao Sousa.

Pence had also received a letter in November from the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee Rep. Elijah Cummings describing Flynn's foreign work. Since then, he's repeatedly emerged as a central figure in the ongoing controversy surrounding possible links between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

The inspector general at the U.S. Defense Department announced recently it is investigating whether Flynn sought permission for the Russian and Turkish payments after he was specifically warned when he retired from the military to not accept any money from foreign governments.

He finally fired Comey last week, in a move legal experts say could become the basis for an obstruction of justice investigation against the beleaguered American president.

These stories all came after The Washington Post published an audio recording of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) from June 15, 2016, one day after the intelligence community alleged Russians hacked the Democratic National Committee.

Also, in a total coincidence, the plan that Trump's incoming administration rejected was vehemently opposed, for reasons of self-interest, by Turkey-a.k.a. the country that paid ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn $530,000 previous year.

Flynn resigned from his position as Trump's national security advisor in February.

The most recent information to add its weight to the avalanche of questionable conduct committed by Trump and the people around him was reported by Reuters on Thursday morning.

But questions about what Pence knew and when are swirling thanks to new media reports about what Flynn revealed to Trump's transition team, which Pence oversaw. Flynn made his name and secured Trump's admiration by speaking implacably not only against ISIS and the need to defeat terrorists, but against Islam in its entirety.
