Wizards beat Celtics 116-89 in technical foul-filled Game 3

The Wizards tied the series with the Boston Celtics at two games apiece on Sunday, but it's hard to argue who has been the better team so far.

But Oubre didn't take too kindly to Olynyk's illegal screen, and charged him, knocking him down with a body check that looked like it belonged on the ice at the Verizon Center rather than the court.

Thomas's comments run the risk of a fine from the league office.

"We don't like them and they don't like us", Boston's All-Star guard stated bluntly.

After the Celtics jumped out to a 2-0 series lead, there were talks of Boston rolling to a long-awaited Eastern Conference Finals clash with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He became the first player in National Basketball Association playoff history with 11 straight games with at least 20 points and seven assists, finishing with 27 points (8 for 25 from the field), 12 assists and five steals.

"They did a really good job tonight", Thomas said of the Wizards. They bumped each other a couple of times before the officials decided this was no night for flyweight bouts and kicked 'em both out. Coming into the game, the Celtics are leading the series 2-1 and have the chance of moving to within one more win of progressing. By the end, the 121-102 blowout stood as a tribute to how well the Wizards had played - and that third quarter represented peak Wizards in the eyes of their coach. The physical matchup went next level as three players were ejected.

Washington Wizards guard John Wall (2) loses control as he tries to shoot past Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart (36) during the first half of a second-round NBA playoff series basketball game, Thursday, May 4, 2017, in Washington. The Rockets' 3-point shooting, a hallmark of their success in the regular season, got back on track Sunday when they made 19 of 43, led by six from Gordon.

"We played hard. We've been in this situation". "We understood what we had to do and we were locked in".

Oil spikes as USA inventories tumble by more than expected
But after Brent prices fell back below $50 per barrel last week, analysts said producers felt forced to act. Saudi Aramco will reduce oil supplies to Asian customers by about 7 million barrels in June.

The Wizards would go on a 26-0 run capped off by an Otto Porter Jr. layup to take a commanding 74-53 lead with five minutes left in the quarter.

"[The Wizards] were very physical", Thomas said, via ESPN. In the two games the Celtics lost, they have been out-rebounded 95-69.

The Washington Wizards will come the Boston Celtics to their home court in Game 4 without the help of backup forward Kelly Oubre, Jr. who was suspended for his noisy argument with Kelly Olynyk in the second quarter of Game 3. Game 3 was all about Washington and I think Game 4 will be the same.

"We just turned the ball over a lot", Celtics center Al Horford said. "I think that has to change".

Thomas made it clear he's not pinning his team's loss on the lack of calls, but he does make a point about not going to the foul line.

Coach Scott Brooks called it the team's "best stretch of basketball" this season, crediting defense for making it all happen.

Wall shakes Thomas and then uses Wizards center Marcin Gortat in a crafty pick-and-roll. The Wizards doubled up the Celtics' scoring in the paint 56-28. He said it was up to his team to make the Wizards pay for giving him so much attention.

All of this as Gerald Green was heard proclaiming, "We are going to beat their ass in Game 4", after the Game 3 embarrassment last Thursday. Game five shifts back to Ottawa Saturday and the Senators expect their superstar defenseman Erik Karlsson to play, even though he left last night's game with an injury in the second period and did not return.
