Nebraska's Jacobson transferring to Iowa State

"This was a very hard decision for me, but I feel it is necessary at this time", Jacobson said in an April 10 news release announcing his decision to transfer.

Nebraska Cornhuskers sophomore transfer forward Michael Jacobson has committed to the Iowa State Cyclones, according to multiple reports.

The flow of transfers into the Iowa State basketball program continued on Monday.

Finally, as they had announced, the children George and Charlotte were part of the procession of the young ladies and groomsmen. She was wearing a custom wedding gown designed by Giles Deacon, a long veil by prominent hat-maker Stephen Jones, and a tiara.

This past year, Jacobson averaged 6.0 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in 24 minutes of action per night for the Cornhuskers. Jacobson and Shayok must sit out next season before becoming eligible, but Brase and Beverly already earned degrees at their previous schools and can play right away under the NCAA's graduate transfer rule.

Jacobson, who announced his intention to leave Nebrasketball back in April, will have two years left in eligibility after his mandatory redshirt season. "I will always be grateful for the opportunity I was given here at Nebraska".

The Cyclones won the Big Twelve Tournament this past season and made the third round of the NCAA Tournament, where they fell to Purdue.
