Ariana Grande on Manchester Bombing: "I Am So So Sorry"

Armed police were seen raiding a house in suburban Manchester after 22 people were killed in a suicide bomb attack. The current death toll stands at 22 with at least 59 people injured, and British police made the quick decision to investigate this as a terror attack, which has been supported by additional information that has been revealed. Earlier in the day, BBC had reported the arrest of a 23-year old man in connection with the blast in Machester.

Saffie Roussos, 8, was the youngest victim identified so far. The wounded included 12 children under age 16, hospital officials said.

In a press conference on Tuesday morning, police confirmed many of those injured are children.

"I know I speak for everyone in expressing my deepest sympathy to all who have been affected by this terrible event and especially to the families and friends of those who have died or were injured", she added.

The Prime Minister said "The police and emergency services have as always acted with courage and on behalf of the country I want to express our gratitude to them".

President Donald Trump reacted to the bombing while on a trip in the Middle East, calling those behind it "evil losers". The bombing took place at the end of the concert, when the audience was streaming toward the city's main train station. Witnesses said they saw bolts and other bits of metal, indicating the bomb may have contained shrapnel meant to maximize injuries. Taxis offered stranded people free rides home while some residents invited those without lodging into their homes. They would think that's a great name. Twitter and Facebook were filled with appeals for the missing.

The concert was attended by thousands of young music fans in northern England.

Shortly after the attack, Grande, 23, tweeted that she is "broken" adding, "I am so so sorry". It described her as "a lovely young student who was very popular with her peers and the staff".
