NBA short on drama, but long on conspiracy theories

"Isaiah saw somebody yesterday", the Celtics coach said at this morning's shootaround at Quicken Loans Arena in preparation for Game 4 of the conference finals tonight against the Cavaliers.

James was all business at this particular shootaround - no doubt because he and the Cavs had unexpectedly been upset by the underdog Celtics in Game 3 on May 21.

What this season's playoff lacks in drama it is quickly making up for with suspicion.

It was the fourth-lowest point total for James in 210 career playoff games. "Me personally, I didn't have it", LeBron admitted postgame.

"We knew that Friday (game two) was a disaster". But me personally, I didn't have it.

"I think if you're in sports long enough, you're gonna have clunkers". That's the question that will be asked all the way up to the NBA Draft on June 22nd. "You just live in the moment".

"What did you do?"

Stevens added, "The guy is a tremendous basketball player". But the Celtics overcame larger odds than any underdog in National Basketball Association playoff history, taking advantage of LeBron James' disappearance. However, instead of settling for something that yielded an average of 0.67 points per possession in the regular season, Bradley starts to move towards Crowder in the corner and eventually sets a screen on his defender.

Of course, it's not like it hasn't happened before. But with a chance to all but wrap up the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday, he reverted to a passive mode he has not displayed since his early days with the Heat. Johnson was replaced in the starting lineup for Game 2 by Gerald Green, but after a 44-point loss and with Thomas out, Stevens went back to Johnson in Game 3.

The Celtics would agree, as Bradley's bucket helped Boston cut its series deficit to 2-1 and, at the very least, force a Game 5 back at TD Garden. The first was the Heat's Game 4 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Finals, in which he finished with eight points. That's a remarkable achievement.

Melania Trump appears to slap away president's hand in Israel
No doubt echoing the thoughts of an untold number of viewers, the newspaper tweeted the video with a single word: "Ouch". Trump's hand as he reaches to hold it while on tarmac in Israel", Niraj Warikoo of the Detroit Free Press Tweeted.

James went just 4 of 13 from the field in Game 3.

As the third game showed, now that the Celtics are without Thomas, there's that "unknown factor" in terms of who might emerge as their star.

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio- Be more aggressive. The Cavs were 10-0 and seemed to be rolling toward equaling Golden State's mark on Sunday night.

He may need to play close to that level again once the Cavs dispatch the Celtics in either five or six games.

Whatever scrap of hope the Celtics might have had for being able to resemble something competitive against the Cavaliers is probably gone: Isaiah Thomas is officially out for the remainder of the postseason.

The thing LeBron and the Cleveland Cavs are best at offensively is exposing the weakness on defense.

And now he's got it.

James is the face of the franchise and the league, so when he speaks, media types listen and share what he says with their readers and viewers.

But we have to play a lot better. "I feel some adversity is part of the postseason".

The beginning of the play looked like the Scott Brooks Special: Clear it out at the top of the key and let your point guard dribble the clock down before going one-on-one and hoisting up a contested 19-footer. Let's regroup. Let's get back to playing desperate basketball, which (Boston) did (May 21). Our whole philosophy throughout this playoffs is this is us versus everybody else, and that's just how we've been throughout the playoffs, and that's the team we are and that's how we play, especially with one of our better players down in IT.
