United Kingdom police: 22 confirmed dead after terror incident at Ariana Grande concert

Ariana Grande's team is now assessing their options, and the London arena where she is slated to perform later this week is standing by for an announcement, the venue tweeted.

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the Monday night carnage, which also left 59 people wounded, though a top American intelligence official said the claim could not be verified. "She was loved by everyone and her warmth and kindness will be remembered fondly".

The short video - shot inside the 21,000-seat Manchester Arena on Monday night - shows concert attendees calmly walking from their seats toward the exits as background music plays when suddenly a loud blast goes off, sparking mass chaos.

Fellow singers including Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles were among those who tweeted their condolences.

Georgina Callander, who was studying health and social care at Runshaw College, was also killed in the attack.

On Saturday, Callander had written on Twitter that she was "so excited" to see Grande, with whom she had posed for a photograph at a concert two years ago. Social media tributes called him "a lovely soul" and "an awesome young man, so kind and thoughtful". Her friends have described her as "a attractive girl with the kindest heart and soul".

"The thought that anyone could go out to a concert and not come home is heartbreaking", he said.

The dead were only just beginning to be identified Tuesday afternoon, but it appeared that an eight-year-old, Saffie Rose Roussos, was among those who did not recover from her wounds.
