Joseph leads Phillies over Rockies 2-1 in 11 innings

The Colorado Rockies dropped the final game of a four-game set to the Phillies on Thursday afternoon, losing 2-1 in 11 innings.

After winning two of three games in each of the first two series on a 10-game road trip, the Colorado Rockies look to close things out in style with a four-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies. At left is Ryan Hanigan.

According to Baseball Reference, the last time a major leaguer went 0-for-5 with five strikeouts in a game: then-Red Sox catcher David Ross against the Cleveland Indians on May 25, 2013. "Took 11 innings, but I'm happy we won".

Odubel Herrera became Philadelphia's first player to strike out five times in a game since Roman Quinn on September 24.

Maikel Franco was back in the lineup and the cleanup spot, and went 1-5 with a single.
