Tiger Woods addresses DUI arrest: 'Alcohol was not involved'

Jupiter Police spokeswoman Kristin Rightler said an arrest report may be available Tuesday.

On Monday afternoon, Woods issued a statement claiming that, "an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications", not alcohol, was to blame for his DUI charge.

Woods, who is now sidelined from competition after having his fourth back surgery in April, said in a statement he took full responsibility for his actions and apologised to his family, friends and fans. What happened what an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications...

Woods apologized to his family, friends and fans and said, "I expect more from myself, too".

When asked by the Post if Woods ever had substance abuse problems when the two were involved, she said, "No, never".

"The surgery went well, and I'm optimistic this will relieve my back spasms and pain", Woods said on his site.

Eldrick Woods, 41, was booked around 7 a.m. into the Palm Beach County Jail and left on his own recognizance at around 11 a.m., jail records show.
