Woman Slashed In The Face On 5 Train Near Grand Central

A woman was slashed on a subway platform at Grand Central Terminal.

The New York mom who was slashed in the face as she rode a subway train with her toddler in midtown on Sunday morning has been released from the hospital, and the woman who allegedly slashed her has been arrested dozens of times before.

The attacker fled the train after it stopped at Grand Central station, but police were able to track her down quickly once they put out a description of the suspect around the city. "She never said anything to me, I never said anything to her".

"As soon as I saw the door open, that's when I just seen her arm go down my face", Martinez told the Daily News of the 11 a.m. attack. "She was also pulling my hair with her other hand".

Martinez said the woman sat quietly across from her, but her appearance was odd. Cops say the slashing suspect is a female who was wearing a red shirt with the number 10 on it and black leggings.

Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner should have security clearance reviewed
After his surprise victory, Mr Trump insisted that he and Ivanka Trump take up jobs within the West Wing of the White House. "It is my opinion that numerous leaks coming out of the White House are fabricated lies", he tweeted.

Martinez says all she could think about during the attack was her son: "What if she woulda did that to my son and not me".

Jacqueline Sanjurjo, 53, was led out of the Transit Police precinct on Sunday. Sanjurgio was charged with two counts of assault, one count of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of acting in a manner injurious to a child.

"She needs to be in jail - I don't need nobody else going through this", Martinez said.

"This whole time I'm thinking, 'Why?' This is my question to her: 'Why me?" Why did you cut me?'
