Warriors finish off sweep of Spurs

In the first year A.D. - after Tim Duncan - the Spurs won 61 games and made the NBA Western Conference Finals.

The Spurs had led the Warriors before Leonard exited in the third quarter of that game, and San Antonio never recovered. But like Steph said, 12 and 0 really doesn't matter going into the next series - we know it's going to be a battle.

But the Warriors are stronger, more talented and healthier than they were a year ago, and the proof is that they've barely been tested in three playoff rounds. Golden State will either face the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals which begin next Thursday.

"Obviously it (stinks) that Kawhi wasn't there and Tony wasn't there and David wasn't out there", Green said.

"As a competitor, you always want to win", Lue said.

San Antonio still managed to match a postseason high with 33 points in the opening quarter and lead by as many as six points in the first half.

This was evident when Warriors players were seen on the court applauding Spurs wing Manu Ginobili in what could very well have been his final National Basketball Association game.

"I started him tonight out of respect".

So the crowd serenaded Ginobili with "Manu, Manu" chants as the game came to a close.

Draymond Green added 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Golden State in the easy win at the AT&T Center.

"Don't get me wrong, we appreciate this opportunity".

Man, 76, charged with stabbing roommate multiple times
When police found the victim outside of the residence on Blue Hill Avenue, he was alert and conscious. A 76-year-old man has been charged with stabbing his roommate three times during an argument in CT .

"Somebody I grew up watching, incredible competitor, even more fun playing against him", Durant said after the game.

"Our goal is to keep on winning and we need to be better if we want to achieve this feat", He said.

Ginobili won four NBA championships with the Spurs, was a two-time All-Star, a two-time All-NBA third-team selection and won Sixth Man of the Year in 2008.

“I feel like we could definitely be better.”.

Durant 28, last reached the NBA Finals in 2012 with the Thunder, where they took Game 1 from LeBron's Heat (Durant scored 36 points), and then lost four straight.

"Everybody tries to put together as much talent as they can, and that's what (Golden State) did", added Popovich.

Spurs: Ginobili had come off the bench in 55 straight playoff games prior to his start in Game 4.

"Our chemistry is getting better and better", Durant said after the game.

LaMarcus Aldridge was small once again for the Spurs.

After the game, though, Ginobili wasn't ready to call it quits just yet.

Ginobili was drafted by the Spurs in 1999 and joined the team in 2002.
