Ariana Grande confirms the Manchester benefit concert is happening this Sunday

She will be joined by Cyrus, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams and Usher at the benefit concert which is dubbed "One Love Manchester".

Proceeds from the concert will go toward the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund and benefit those who were injured or lost family members during the attack. Organizers also had to get BBC TV, Radio and the Capital Radio Networks in the preempt their regular programming to carry the concert.

Ariana Grande has announced her intention to return to the city of Manchester, to spend time with her fans and hold a concert to raise funds for the victim's of the Manchester arena terrorist attack.

Encouraging people to not give up and fight against such things, she says, "We will not quit or operate in fear". We won't let hate win...

Grande said in an open letter on her social media accounts last week that "There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you (her fans) are feeling or to make this better".

By early Wednesday morning, it was trading 0.44% lower against the dollar at $1.28020 and 0.29% lower against the euro at 1.14600 Euros.

General admission tickets will be on sale through Ticketmaster starting this Thursday, 1 June 2017 at 10:00am BST.

Following the attack, Grande cancelled several dates on her European tour, but she's expected to resume her trek after the Manchester benefit show on June 7 in Paris.

"It was a awful thing to happen. but Ariana can pull some of her friends together and get on stage and raise some needed money for the victims of a bad attack", Niall added.

The concert will be held in Manchester on the same day as a testimonial match honoring Manchester United player Michael Carrick, which will take place at a nearby arena that day. So that is what it will continue to do for us. I want to thank my fellow musicians and friends for reaching out to be a part of our expression of love for Manchester.
