Curry and Durant run hot in game one of NBA Finals

That's a first for the National Basketball Association.

It's not the same for the Golden State Warriors. In his eighth National Basketball Association finals (and seventh consecutive appearance), he has a chance to win another title for his hometown as well as bolster his resume by defeating the current top-dog Warriors.

TOM GOLDMAN, BYLINE: Depending on how these finals shakeout, two days last July will loom large.

The Warriors also have a likely healthier Curry, their leading scorer. Golden State had 27. An important part of Brown's resume - significant head coaching experience.

She was overhead trying to distract Durant when he took free-throw attempts, shouting "brick" in an attempt to get him to miss. With Cleveland's star filled line-up returning after past year, expect a team looking to prove the days of mocking Cleveland sports is over (well except for the Browns). This year, they've replaced the wing with Kevin Durant, who is shooting 55.6 percent from the field during the 2017 NBA Playoffs for his tally of 25.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 blocks during the postseason.

In 2016, the Cavaliers returned the favor by beating the Warriors in seven. They can shoot the ball from the perimeter; they can get into the paint. But it's been a blessing and something that I know I don't take for granted.

Trump asks Supreme Court to reinstate travel ban
It would take a majority of the Supreme Court , at least five of the nine justices, to put the controversial policy into effect. Yet the Trump administration feels that it has a shot with SCOTUS for reasons of national security, so Trump has appealed.

"No other team has done this, right?"

GOLDMAN: Iman Shumpert is a guard for the Cavaliers.

Of course, this is a limited edition run that you unfortunately can not buy in the West, but it makes us wonder: wouldn't something like that be a cool idea?

All the newcomers remembered watching these two teams square off the past two Junes as fans. "After we was able to accomplish that past year and we celebrated for a few days, I got right back to work, mentally and physically get my body ready because I wanted to be able to put myself and put our teammates and put our franchise in position where we had an opportunity to do it again". That is the only blemish for either team in the entire postseason going into the Finals this week. Golden State assistant coach Ron Adams calls Kerr a special leader.

"The whole underdog thing is amusing to me, because, yeah, at the end of the day we are defending our title", Love told reporters.

GOLDMAN: Kerr obviously knows how to win, too.

"He said he wanted us, and he has us starting Thursday", Love said. He'll try to mend and see if he can coach at some point during the series.

MIKE BROWN: Hey, at the end of the day, this is his team. Lue tries to build on the terrific start to his coaching career by becoming just the second National Basketball Association coach to win titles in his first two seasons.
