Finals pick up where they left off: Cavs vs. Warriors III

The Cavaliers face the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday in Oakland. Durant already measured more than 6 feet tall at the time and would rapidly add inches in the upcoming years.

Durant replaces Harrison Barnes, whose offensive struggles played a big role in the Warriors' failure to repeat as champions in 2016. "That kind of dismantled our whole chance of going and trying to win a championship that year". Cleveland's rugged glass-eater could be a hard matchup for the Warriors.

Why will the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors in the three-match of the NBA Finals?

And unlike the Warriors squad that blew a 3-1 Finals lead past year after a record-setting 73-9 regular season, this version of the team is even more risky after adding former league MVP and four-time scoring champion Kevin Durant.

-Q: No matter what happens in the Finals, will you be coaching the start of next regular season? Brown coached Cleveland from 2005-2010 and 2013-2014.

The only way to stop the murmurs is for Durant to deliver what is expected and prove once again why he is one of the best players in the National Basketball Association.

Individually, LeBron has a lot at stake because with a win he will have a.500 record in the Finals. Who will win the award for most dramatic flop in the Finals?

Trump withdrawal from climate deal gets mixed response from US companies
He's said California's economy is proof that combating climate change isn't the economic deadweight Trump suggests. Wherever we live, wherever we are we all share the same responsibility, make our planet great again", Macron said.

But, staying in the what-if? world a bit longer, Cleveland followers might want to ponder the possibility that they would never have been able to have a parade if LeBron didn't break their hearts and leave town in 2010. While seven straight Finals appearances are impressive, if he were to only have three wins out of his eight total appearances, his legacy would take a hit.

It should also come as no surprise that LeBron, now playing in his 7th consecutive NBA Finals, is making moves up another high-profile leaderboard.

Oddsmakers have the Warriors favored to dethrone Cleveland as the Cavaliers did to them a year ago, but the snub gives the Cavs something else to prove. I've got to play it by ear - if I'm feeling good I should coach and if I'm not feeling up to it, then I shouldn't. The Cavaliers took advantage of Green's absence and picked up a comfortable victory over Golden State. And let us state now that if you don't like columns based on hypothetical meanderings, it's probably best that you turn the page now.

In order for Golden State to sign Durant to a maximum possible extension, the team would have to renounce its rights to 2015 NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala and fellow free agent Shaun Livingston to create room under the salary cap. Golden State Warriors' Kevin Durant smiles during an NBA basketball practice, Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in Oakland, Calif. But there's even more at stake for him.

But with the Warriors on such a torrid streak, would that be for the best? If all three are in rhythm throughout the series, the Warriors won't have many problems.

The expectation would be sweep. Durant jumped ship to join the Warriors this offseason and was heavily criticized for it.

Follow the WTLC crew as we discuss these questions and much more as one of the most highly anticipated NBA Finals in league history unfolds. Kevin Durant cannot afford to lose these Finals and neither can Golden State.
