Steph Curry says he's ready for NBA Finals redemption

To help basketball fans get excited for what should be an wonderful series over the next few weeks, the NBA has released an incredible 13-minute video showcasing the best moments from the previous 70 NBA Finals.

The Warriors got their Finals started off on a high note after defeating the Cavaliers 113-91 in Game 1 on Friday. That not only extends the best start in any single postseason in National Basketball Association history, it would tie the league mark for consecutive playoff wins. Cleveland committed 20 turnovers Thursday, while the Warriors committed just four, which was tied for the lowest amount of turnovers for a team in Finals history.

The question arose because as James' Cleveland Cavaliers were preparing to play the Golden State Warriors in Oakland, someone attacked his house in Los Angeles. And the Cavaliers won 13 straight - starting with the last three games of last season's NBA Finals against the Warriors, followed by a 10-0 start to these playoffs. The Cavaliers were the second-worst defensive team in the National Basketball Association after the all-star break, and they looked to be about the same quality in this one. The mercurial Draymond Green has to keep his emotions in check because he presents a matchup nightmare for the Cavaliers. He is focused on one thing and that is being on the winning side when everything is said and done.

Cleveland's comeback previous year was keyed by James and Kyrie Irving and both were on point again - through three quarters James had 26 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists on his way to 28 for the game, and Irving had 22 of his 24 through 36 minutes as the Cavs waved the white flag early.

After swishing a three-pointer in the fourth quarter, Durant seemed to turn and say something to Rihanna, who was sitting courtside.

Golden State repeatedly got whatever it wanted in transition, with Durant twice simply dribbling down the middle of the court and throwing down an uncontested dunk without any of the five Cavaliers on the court attempting to slow him down. Kyrie Irving has 17 points and Kevin Love has 12 rebounds for the Cavaliers.

When Durant was on the floor, the Warriors out-scored Cleveland by 18, and in the 40 minutes that James was on the floor, the Warriors out-scored Cleveland by 22 (much of that is overlapping time of course). He's seeking his first title and is second for the Warriors in scoring with 25.2 points per game this postseason.

Penguins defeat Predators 4-1 in momentum filled Game 2
Bonino, who scored in Game 1, took the puck to the left foot or ankle and could not put weight on it as he was helped off the ice. The Predators are also blowing away the Penguins in the faceoff circle, winning 62 percent of draws through 40 minutes.

The Warriors punched. Then they punched again.

Stephen Curry has 12 points for the Warriors. James again led the way in 2016, but he had their help, including Irving's dagger three to close out Game 7.

We will see how this progresses, and we know the Warriors have blown bigger series leads against Cleveland recently, but this was a large start for them.

Silver says that "from a league standpoint, you always want to see great competition".

Durant had a ton of fun in Game 1, he controlled LeBron James, and now this series has his name on it, at least until the next game, and the next match-up, and the next marquee moments, and you could tell tonight that nobody is looking forward to them more than Kevin Durant.

O'Neal also responded angrily to McGee, saying he would "smack" McGee after the Warriors big man reacted to yet more mockery.

Mike Brown expects to coach the Golden State Warriors as planned in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. And with these star-studded teams, this may not be over even after this NBA Finals "tiebreaker".
