Trump pulls United States out of Paris climate accord

"On a global issue like climate change, there are no national borders".

Jean-Claude Juncker, head of the European Union's executive Commission, lashed Trump's decision as "seriously wrong".

Trump also termed India as the leading polluter.

President Donald Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris climate deal followed an internal debate that pitted anti-globalist advisers like Steve Bannon against more moderate voices such as Trump's daughter, Ivanka, and top economic adviser, Gary Cohn. Canada is unwavering in our commitment to fight climate change and support clean economic growth. This a global challenge.

The Paris Agreement was signed by former President Barack Obama in September 2016.

Although there had been some discussion of keeping the United States in the Paris accord, while changing its carbon emissions commitments, as a way of maintaining global unity, in the end, Trump made a decision to cut the cord entirely.

There have been similar reactions from other Pacific leaders. "190 nations are showing strong determination to work with them to protect this and future generations", Solheim said in a statement. Decreasing our dependence on fossil fuels will build more inclusive and robust economies. "The Paris Agreement is key to ensuring investors have the confidence to continue to support this transition". "Ultimately, this is an investment in our own survival that no-one can afford to abandon", he added.

If he wins this year everyone will discount the effort by claiming he only won because he joined forces with the Warriors . As this highly anticipated rematch tipped off at last, the biggest difference from previous year was clear.

The president says the agreement is bad for business and the USA economy.

The United States under this accord had pledged to cut greenhouse emissions 26 to 28 per cent by 2025 and agreed to pay 3 billion dollar in aid for other poor and developing countries by 2020.

He called the US withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement "a major disappointment" and said it was "crucial that the United States remains a leader on environmental issues", according to his spokesman. "The U.S. remains the cleanest country in the world, but we will not remain in the agreement at the expense of our citizens and our country".

BHP chief Andrew Mackenzie exhausted to convince Mr Trump to stay in the Paris agreement. No one country can dismantle the Agreement.

"Bill English will be one of the first leaders to meet with the US Secretary of State following the decision to withdraw". The Paris Climate Accord is simply the latest example of Washington entering into an agreement that disadvantages the United States. On Capitol Hill, Rep. Carlos Curbelo, a Miami Republican, said a group of congressional Republicans and Democrats, largely from coastal states, will redouble its efforts to find ways to reduce the risks of climate change. Fox, who has clashed with Trump since last year's presidential campaign, said the USA leader's decision "condemns this generation and those to come" and would leave "a dark legacy just to satisfy your greediness".

Scientists say Earth is likely to reach more unsafe levels of warming sooner as a result of the president's decision because America contributes so much to rising temperatures.

However, the United States move could well create a political atmosphere that left governments around the world feeling freer to despoil their own environments, he warned.
