Woods: Alcohol 'not involved in my arrest'

The golf superstar, who issued a statement on Monday saying alcohol was not involved in the incident, needed to be woken by a police officer, his arrest report showed. No alcohol was found in his system when he took a Breathalyzer test.

Woods was briefly booked into a Palm Beach jail but released just a few hours later on his own recognizance, and without having to post bail.

The 41-year-old golfer, who underwent surgery in April to relieve lingering back pain, on Monday blamed an unexpected reaction to legal drugs for his arrest and apologized for the incident.

A statement from Woods said: 'I take full responsibility.

Both front tires were flat and both front and back bumpers were damaged.
