Here's Carrie Fisher in Her Last Magazine Cover Shoot as General Organa

Episode IX was originally meant to center around Carrie Fisher's General Leia Organa, but the actress' unexpected and untimely passing in December of 2016 caused Lucasfilm to reevaluate the film's narrative.

It becomes even more heartbreaking when Kathleen Kennedy implies that we would have had so much more to look forward to.

Make sure you check out the rest of the cover story and images at Vanity Fair!

In 2015 and 2016, the cast and crew of Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrived in Ireland to film scenes at a number of locations along the Atlantic coast.

The second cover features Daisy Ridley as Rey and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker on Ahch-To (Skelling Michael in Ireland).

Griffin fears career is over after controversy over Trump video
Even so, Griffin said , her "apology still stands". "I'm going to be honest, he broke me", Griffin said, breaking into tears. Griffin later said during the press conference that she "would never want to hurt anyone, especially a child".

In the next cover, Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson portrayed the three main antagonists of the film- First Order's stormtrooper Captain Phasma, Supreme Leader Snoke's loyal servant Kylo Ren and General Armitage Hux. Director Rian Johnson told VF that "You'll see-there's a reason why we call him DJ". She has captured every Star Wars cast since The Phantom Menace.

And speaking of parties, we also now know a little bit more about what role Kelly Marie Tran's Resistance mechanic Rose will play in the narrative.

Johnson also hinted at some of the different locations that we can expect to see in The Last Jedi when it arrives in December, including a "casino city" called Canto Bight. "I remember-and forgive me, I'm going to drop the f-bomb, but that's just Carrie-she said, "Ah, boohoo, who fuckin" cares?"

Once The Last Jedi is released, it will be the last glimpse of Carrie Fisher in character. Come for the song, news, and an interview with author Timothy Zahn, but stay for the master vegetable carver making an unbelievable Luke and Leia carving.
