Isco raves over on-field relationship with Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid star Isco has confirmed he will continue at the Santiago Bernabeu next season after Los Blancos lifted the La Liga title with a 2-0 victory over Malaga on Sunday (21 May).

Zinedine Zidane claimed on Sunday winning La Liga as Real Madrid coach surpasses his stellar achievements as a player and even lifting the UEFA Champions League in his debut season as a coach a year ago.

"It was a very close fight, as I expected, and we had to wait until the last week to know the champions". But the statistics didn't mean much in the end because those great numbers and Messi's continued excellence couldn't compensate for costly losses to underdog sides and the subpar contribution of Barcelona's role players.

There was a brief moment of concern when Ronaldo needed treatment after falling awkwardly from a challenge but the Portuguese, who scored for the fifth time in three league games, was able to finish the game, easing Real's anxieties before the Champions League final June 3 against Juventus.

Zidane has won four trophies in 16 months since taking charge of the Spanish giants and he is one step from becoming the first Real coach since 1958 to win the European Cup and league title in the same season.

"I have won everything with this club, but to win La Liga is the best of all".

Players went to the club's traditional celebration spot, the Plaza de Cibeles, on top of an open bus which carried the No. 33 and the words "champions" and "thank you madridistas", which is what the team's fans are called.

Cornet reached the pre-quarterfinals for just the second time with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Polish ninth seed Agnieszka Radwanska. And it looked like another lengthy encounter could be on the cards during an absorbing first set.

"Everyone has played minutes and all the squad have contributed".

"It was a tough game, and it's been a tough year, but we've been the most consistent and we've been rewarded for that".

"I would love to play with him [Zidane], we all know his qualities", Dybala told Sky Sport Italia.

Real Madrid only dropped 10 points away from the Bernabéu this season. One headline ran, "Málaga maul unconvincing Barça as Neymar sees red" but Luis Enrique remained defiant, insisting his side were superior and that they deserved to win.

"Those that have played less have been at the same level as those that have played the most and, in a 60-game season that is very hard physically, that has been important".
