5 things to know about Jared Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in-law, senior adviser

As first reported by The Washington Post last week - and still not denied by the Trump administration as of Tuesday - Donald Trump's son-in-law sought a secure communications channel between the Trump transition team and the Kremlin using Russian communications equipment, which strongly suggests the incoming administration wanted to avoid USA intelligence monitoring.

President Donald Trump's top adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner, on the firing line for his reported attempt to set up a "back-channel" with Russian Federation, has received support from U.S. ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley who was once a bitter critic of Donald Trump. But Trump immediately railed against administration leaks in a flurry of tweets Sunday, calling them "fabricated lies".Monday Mr. Trump's first campaign manager Corey Lewandowsky and deputy campaign manager Dave Bossie were at the white house for meetings.Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly told ABC News on Sunday it was "normal" and "acceptable" to establish back channels with foreign powers. "If there is, I'll come on the show, Chris, and I will join you and go what the hell was going on here with the contact that Donald Trump shouldn't have had with the Russians". But Dubke, during his short stint in the White House was so behind-the-scenes as to seem totally nonexistent.

Kushner's attorney said her client is willing to talk to the Federal Bureau of Investigation if asked about his meeting with Gorkov, as well as separate meetings with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

White House press members asked the question that has been plaguing the internet all Wednesday: What does "covfefe" mean?

We all know that Kushner would never do anything without the full knowledge of his father-in-law, Donald Trump, so what are they up to?

The White House said on Wednesday it will no longer answer questions about the ongoing investigations into Donald Trump's alleged links to Russian Federation.

But some of the sources close to Spicer warned that scuttlebutt about impending shakeups has been a feature of Trump's tenure in the White House since the beginning, and yet little has actually shaken up.

And The New York Times said Trump has raised the possibility to advisers of naming her press secretary.

James Comey, fired by Trump as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is reportedly due to testify to a congressional committee as early as next week.

Spicer said he thinks the president "is very pleased with his team", but he added, "Ultimately the best messenger is the president himself".
