Arnold Schwarzenegger Slams Donald Trump For Withdrawing From The Paris Agreement

Trump had said America should care more for "Pittsburgh" than "Paris".

It isn't the first time Trump - who spent the campaign demonizing China - will have wound up giving Beijing a major chance to expand its standing on the world stage. As Canada and Mexico have felt spurned by Trump during the runup to renegotiating NAFTA, China has emerged as a more reliable trading prospect. Without the U.S., the world's second-biggest emitter which had vowed to reduce emissions by 26pc-28pc, it increases to 3.6C. A global framework strengthens competitiveness for American businesses. He believes the U.S. retreat from the Paris agreement diminishes the country's position as a global leader. I challenge DTE to develop more compelling "Time-of-Use" rates that will make EV ownership even more enticing than it already is. "We've rebuilt our economy on the future and our people, not on the past".

It is a global deal, agreed under the United Nations in the French capital in December 2015, which will see action by all countries to curb rising temperatures.

Trump formally announced his decision to leave the historic worldwide agreement Thursday after promising to take the action during last year's campaign. Each of the 15 heads of the companies that make up the Haga Initiative can describe how both customers and employees are more loyal to companies that take responsibility for the climate, and how climate efforts lead to technological development, innovations and new products that in turn result in new and better business opportunities. Our successful cooperation on issues like emissions trading and clean technologies are bearing fruit. The plan, which is promoted by Citizens' Climate Lobby, proposes placing an annually increasing fee on carbon emissions with the fees returned to families as monthly dividends.

It won't be the last time that Beijing and Brussels find themselves seeing eye to eye, or that the two sides look past the U.S. and look to work on joint initiatives that don't involve Washington. "The Paris Agreement is a hard-won outcome condensing the broadest consensus of the worldwide community and setting up the direction and goals for global cooperative efforts to cope with climate change".

One Love Manchester benefit concert
Approximately 50,000 people were in attendance at the One Love Manchester event, held at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Despite last night's atrocities, Ariana Grande plans to go ahead with the benefit concert One Love Manchester .

According to The Washington Examiner, Bloomberg said, "Americans will honor and fulfill the Paris Agreement by leading from the bottom up-and there isn't anything Washington can do to stop us". "It's a bad deal for this country". However, experts say it's unclear whether they actually can fill the gap left by the Trump administration.

"What does the president actually believe on climate change: Does he still believe it's a hoax?"

Schwarzenegger added: "No one remembers the people who told President Kennedy not to go to the Moon". Trump faced criticism last week after he appeared to push aside the prime minister of Montenegro in order to move to the front of a group of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation leaders. His rationale is that although we are the wealthiest country in the world, we will not hesitate to trade our future for greater short-term profits.

However, many economists think Paris would be roughly a trade-off - fewer jobs in polluting industries would be offset by more in renewable energy. It's already been making efforts to do exactly that. "China always upholds multilateral rules, including WTO rules". There is every reason now to focus on continuing to strengthen cooperation with these companies - and the states and cities in the U.S. with ambitious climate agendas - to promote positive social development and ensure a market for sustainable enterprise internationally and on the other side of the Atlantic.

"We don't need the federal government throwing in [billions of dollars] a year and redistributing it through an worldwide octopus, to keep San Diego going down a green road." one commenter said.
